Why
we exist
Originally founded in Vancouver in 2016, the Victorious Champion Boxing & Athletic Academy promotes physical performance and healthy living through group classes, private training, and educational programs focused on building skills and developing sportsmanship.
Coach Knowlton
Founder & Head Coach
Knowlton developed a passion for sports as a teenager, taking up tennis, hockey, cycling, climbing, and weightlifting before finding his interest in combat sports and the science behind athletic performance.
Inspired to become a coach by the positive impact his own mentors had on him, Knowlton acquired his Personal Trainer Certificate from the BCRPA and launched his own wellness brand, Victorious Champion.

Your questions
Our answers
Anything not covered here, send us a message, and Coach will be happy to help.
I've never boxed. Will I be out of my depth?
Curriculum is always tailored to skill level, age, and ability. You don't need experience to show up, have fun, and learn.
What's a typical session like?
Every class varies, but often consists of jumping rope, shadowboxing, bag work, mitt work, and athletics training.
How old do you have to be?
Ages 12 and up.
Will I have to spar?
Sparring is an optional drill conducted in a supervised environment, with approved safety gear, at the end of some sessions. For many, sparring is the most fun and informative part of class, but participation in this exercise is not necessary.
What do I bring the first time?
Clothes which you are comfortable to move and sweat in. A water bottle. Boxing or wrestling shoes if you have them, otherwise bare feet. Whatever combat sports gear you might have such as wraps, gloves, mouth guard, etc. Whatever you don't have will be supplied for you for your first free class. After that, follow our suggested Gear Guide.
How do I pay?
E-transfer or cash, whether Punch Pass or drop-in. No contract commitment, no credit card on file.
